Trust & Provenance
Every Bead,
Verified
Our authentication process is the most rigorous in the Rudraksha trade. No piece leaves our atelier without passing a seven-stage laboratory protocol.
Our Standard
Why Certification Matters
The global Rudraksha market is flooded with imitations — chemically treated seeds, synthetic replicas, and misrepresented mukhi counts. At Rudra Guru, we built our certification framework in partnership with GIA-accredited gemological laboratories to eliminate all ambiguity. Every bead is tested, documented, and sealed before it reaches you.
GIA-Accredited Labs
Partner laboratories in London, Kathmandu, and Jakarta hold the highest gemological credentials.
40% Rejection Rate
Four in ten beads submitted to our protocol are rejected and destroyed — never sold.
Digital Provenance Ledger
Every certificate is registered in our permanent digital record, verifiable by certificate number.
The Seven-Stage Protocol
How We Authenticate
7
Stages of Verification
Origin Verification
Each bead is traced to its source region — Nepal Himalayan or Indonesian — using morphological analysis and isotopic profiling. Provenance is documented with harvest coordinates and supplier attestation.
Mukhi Count Examination
Under high-magnification microscopy, our gemologists count and map every natural ridge (mukhi) on the bead surface. Artificially carved or chemically enhanced lines are identified and rejected.
Botanical DNA Analysis
A micro-sample is submitted for botanical DNA sequencing to confirm the species as Elaeocarpus ganitrus — the only true Rudraksha. Imitation seeds from related species are eliminated at this stage.
Surface Integrity Scan
3D surface scanning detects any artificial drilling, filling, or surface treatment. Natural growth patterns are verified against known reference specimens in our database of over 12,000 authenticated beads.
Density & Weight Calibration
Each bead is weighed and its density measured by hydrostatic displacement. These values are cross-referenced against species and region benchmarks to confirm authenticity and natural formation.
Setting & Metal Assay
Where gold settings are applied, the metal is assayed by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to confirm purity — 22k (91.6%) or 18k (75%) as specified. Hallmarks are applied and recorded.
Certificate Issuance
A unique certificate number is assigned, linking the bead to its full laboratory record. The certificate includes: species confirmation, mukhi count, origin region, setting assay, examiner name, and issue date.

Supply Chain Provenance
Certification is only
the beginning.
Beyond our laboratory protocol, every Rudra Guru bead is assigned a unique serial ID and tracked through six documented stages — from Himalayan harvest to your hands. Each stage is photographed, timestamped, and permanently registered in our digital provenance ledger.
Trace a BeadUnique Serial ID
Every bead receives a permanent ID in the format RG-YEAR-ORIGIN-MUKHIm-SEQUENCE, printed on your certificate and encoded in a QR code.
Six Verified Stages
Harvest → Sorting → Authentication → Energisation → Packaging → Dispatch. Each stage is documented with photos and timestamps.
